The owners in Mosman wanted privacy without losing light, so the big leightons was set at a height that screens the neighbouring property while still letting winter sun into the yard. Leighton green conifers will not reshoot from old wood, so every cut stays inside the green growth and the faces are tapered to keep light on the lower foliage. A follow-up trim is scheduled to hold the shape as the new growth comes through.
Every job finishes the same way: clippings removed, edges cleaned up and the garden left tidier than we found it. Ongoing maintenance visits are scheduled to suit the species and the season.
