[ Hedge reductions ]
When a hedge has been left too long, a regular trim won't fix it — it needs a proper reduction. Hedge Sydney reduces overgrown hedges across the North Shore, Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs, bringing height and width back to a manageable line without ruining the plant.
We work with the species common in Sydney gardens — murraya, lilly pilly, viburnum, photinia, camellia and conifer screens — and cut each at the right time and depth so it recovers thick and green. Once reduced, we can keep it on a regular maintenance schedule so it never gets away from you again.
We inspect the hedge's species, age and condition, then agree the new height and width with you before any cutting starts — so there are no surprises on the day.
Overgrown hedges are brought down in stages where needed, cutting to the right depth for the species so the plant recovers with dense, healthy regrowth rather than bare wood.
Once the reduction is complete, faces, sides and caps are re-cut to a string line so the hedge reads straight and even from the street again.
Reductions produce a lot of material. Every branch and clipping is collected from beds, lawns and paths, and all green waste leaves with us.
