Leighton Green Clouds

This Hunters Hill garden needed serious attention after a strong growing season, so the leighton green clouds was reduced back to good framework wood rather than sheared on the surface. Leighton green conifers will not reshoot from old wood, so every cut stays inside the green growth and the faces are tapered to keep light on the lower foliage. The finished height was set to suit the fence line and the outlook from inside the house.

Every job finishes the same way: clippings removed, edges cleaned up and the garden left tidier than we found it. Ongoing maintenance visits are scheduled to suit the species and the season.
